Can you imagine living 42 years as a man, building a career, starting a family, having children and being successful at what you do? Then, one winter evening, everything changes. That is exactly what happened to Lia Bordon. Lia was born male, but now she is finally and legally living her life as a woman.
A Slovenian woman’s account of her difficult transition from male to female has been making the rounds on social media. She hopes that her story will inspire courage in others who are still living in denial. Having a sex change at 42: “My wife and kids accepted me, but sadly my parents couldn’t.”
