“I’ve always been female, since the day I was born. But I was born with one flaw. By looking at me, everyone assumed I was a boy, I was referred to as a boy and brought up as one,” recounts Lia Bordon, a trans woman who was assigned male at birth and started transitioning two years ago. Now, she wants to use her experience to raise awareness, in a society that is still rife with ignorance and hate speech.
